Review: Fractured by Cheri Schmidt

Fractured (Fateful, #2)Author: Cheri Schmidt
Rating: 5 out 5 stars

This is the second book to Fateful by Cheri Schmidt. I loved this book. I waited for a year or two to read this. I gave up waiting to read this and I wish I had read it earlier. THIS REVIEW IS GOING TO CONTAIN SPOILERS! Sorry guys I tried to write this without but it would have been a crappy review without it.

Here's the synopsis:
"They had thought they’d escaped most of the danger surrounding them, when in truth they’ve made it worse by unintentionally sparking a civil war amongst vampires. Many vampires want to protect them for discovering the cure to the curse binding their kind. However many more want to destroy them for that same discovery.
Ethan’s and Danielle’s struggle for survival intensifies while they sink deeper into the midst of this danger. The romantic fairytale bliss they once had will soon fracture under the pressure of the curse...."

Guys, how can I possibly express how much I loved this book? This book was an emotional roller coaster. I was happy one minute, confused the next, and ready to die after that. This book brought out so many feelings that not even the first book brought out. I feel as if the problem in this book had a lot more problems that built around it that really brought more attention to that one major issue. When authors do that they are basically on the edge of a cliff. They can either pull it off and remain standing on the cliff or they can totally botch it and fall off the edge. Cheri Schmidt made it work, and for that I salute her. I've read many books that the authors just made the story to busy, and they end being the stories where you are all confused and end up hating it. I was so glad that I didn't hate this book, since I gave the first one 5 out 5 stars as well.

Now let's talk about this plot. Ethan, I freaking love you! Ethan is such a romantic even if he can be a tad bit over protective. When he proposed to Danielle...oh my god...
Can we just take a minute? I was soo happy! I was on the verge of passing out. I never thought that he would. Ethan is such a romantic guy.
Then when they broke that news to Beoin and Sophia I was so happy! I was a bit confused by the sudden occurance of that topic. I thought Ethan had made it up for a second because he didn't want them to well.."hurt" Danielle. Then when they confirmed it I was just shocked.  They had given no hint about it before. (If you wanna know what I'm talking about then READ THE BOOK! I don't want to spoil too much.)

Can we discuss Dorin for a minute? I really thought that he was a nice guy, of course he had to be a jerk in the end. Why do the evil guys always have to be somewhat kind at first? I really thought he would keep Danielle safe. Turns out not.

The concept of Lilith that this book provides isn't really a new concept but I like this book didn't portray her as someone who was evil to the core. She sympathized with the ones who really cared and meant no harm. She was given a heart in this book. She had been hurt and she was bitter about that but she still cared. I really liked that.

The last line of the book really made me give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. That last line is the line that caught my heart. It was the perfect ending to this book and hopefully it will make the third book just as good as the first two.

Guys go read this book, then write a review or just tell me how you feel about this book. Of course if you haven't read the first book you should probably read that first....
