Here's the synopsis:
"Her sisters have found wedded bliss with their wealthy, wonderful dream men, but not Julietta Conte. She’s stayed on terra firma as top executive of the family’s corporation, La Dolce Famiglia bakery. Work is her passion, and her trendy Milan apartment her sanctuary . . . until Sawyer Wells, a masculine masterpiece in a suit, lures her out of hiding with an irresistible offer: an exclusive partnership with his international chain of boutique hotels.
Julietta’s been burned before—and trusting her brother-in-law’s friend, whose powerful gaze alone has her rethinking the best use of a conference room, is the riskiest proposition. But with a once-in-a-career chance to take the bakery global, will she mix stone-cold business with red-hot seduction?"
Jennifer Probst is one of those authors I go to for a relaxing read where I don't have to think to much about it. I always enjoy her books, and she didn't disappoint this time as well.
Her characters were spot on, they both had amazing chemistry and I really love that about her characters. As much as they try they always fall for each other no matter what comes next.
"Why didn’t anyone understand or accept that a single woman could be happy? And she was happy. Damn happy."
Julietta is definitely an independent, strong woman who doesn't need a man-until she meets Sawyer.
“You wrecked me, Julietta. You tore me apart piece by piece and then put me back together.”
Sawyer falls for Julietta-her good looks, her strong feminine power, he falls for it all. He's instantly hooked and wants her. Sawyer is definitely the type of man that every woman looks for-successful, good-looking, and kind. he even values family and is close with Julietta's mom.
The beginning had me hooked before I even started the book. It's cover just captured me into its web. The ending left me feeling very satisfied. I was happy with how everything ended. The book was absolutely amazing and I loved it. Definitely one that I would go back to if I needed a relaxing, light read.
