Forever Innocent Blog Tour

Author: Deanna Roy
Publisher: Casey Shay Press
Number of Pages: 288

Synopsis:
"Corabelle doesn’t feel like any of the other college girls. On what should have been one of the happiest nights of her life, she and her boyfriend Gavin watched a nurse disconnect the ventilator from their seven-day-old baby. During the funeral two days later, Gavin walked out and never returned.
Since then, her life has been a spiral of disasters. The only thing that has helped is her ability to black out whenever the pain gets too hard to bear, a habit that has become an addiction.
When Gavin shows up in her astronomy class four years later, he is hell-bent on getting her back, insisting she forgive him. Corabelle knows she can’t resist the touch that fills the empty ache that has haunted her since he left. But if he learns what she has done, if he follows the trail back through her past, her secrets will destroy their love completely. And once again, she’ll lose the only person who always believed she was innocent."

“Our baby died on prom night, and nothing was ever the same again.”
This book was amazing. It tore my heart and and I fell in love with the plot and characters, everything was so bittersweet.

Corabelle has been hurt deeply. She lost her baby and the love of her life walked out on the day of the funeral. I really felt for Cora in this book. I just wanted to draw her close and just give her a hug-give both characters a hug actually. I adore kids, I would never want to go through what she did but she did go through that and I really respect her. I respect her because she stayed strong, sure she cried but if she didn't then I would have probably hated her. I would have thrown the book to the floor and cursed at it.

Gavin- I LOVE that name- might come off as a jerk from what he did to Cora but I get it. He could have done things differently but he played his role out perfectly. He was my favorite character in this book-and not just because he was hot-but because he was so realistic and I love him for that.

The plot of this book was amazing and I loved every minute of it. I really hope there is some type of sequel or novella, I would love to see these characters just one more time and just get to know them and their future just a little bit better.

This book is so hauntingly beautiful, you cry, sob, but still manage to smile through it all. I absolutely adore this book.

Self-Portrait Copyright Amber Forbes 2013I am The Dancing Writer because I am both a dancer and a writer, and these two activities are an inseparable part of me. I’ve been doing ballet for almost two years and have been writing seriously since I was thirteen. While this website will be showcasing myself as a writer, I also aim to contribute to the community of people out there who want to eliminate the stigma on mental illness. My posts will focus both on my writing life, mental health, and some ballet. My personal posts have the possibility of being triggering, but I am not glossing over what can go through my head. When you follow me, like my posts, and share them, you are my Star, and as such, you should be willing to trek the perils of my mind so that way you grow as a more understanding person.
I want to write about my struggle with mental illness because this does fuel my writing. My characters are psychologically complex and struggle with demons of their own. They are both diagnosed and undiagnosed, and so my writing tends to lean in a dark direction–sometimes with bits of light scattered throughout. I hope the characters in my novels help teens struggling with demons of their own–people in general who read my books. That is my aim as a writer: to give my readers the hope they need to trek through their darkness to find the stars that will help them rise.
In any case, I am 22 years old, I am Founder and Fiction Editor of The Corner Club Press, I do freelance editing, and I am a marketing trainee for Southern Siding, a job that earns me some cash to pay for ballet and my dreams of publication. I will refer to myself as The Dancing Writer because that is my brand, and my moniker does have a lot of symbolism for me as well.
