Review: Vindicated by Keary Taylor

Vindicated (Fall of Angels, #3)Author: Keary Taylor
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Omigod! Omigod! I freaking loved this book...what am I saying I freaking loved this series!!!! This is the first series since I read Twilight that I have given all the books in the series five stars. This series was just so emotional.

Here's the synopsis:
"With the pain of the past behind them, Jessica and Alex are ready to move on with their lives. But moving on is hard when it involves reconnecting with the family who wanted to send Jessica to an institution. And living life isn’t easy when someone who doesn’t belong is watching her, threatening her life, determined to take Jessica back to the afterlife she should have joined months ago.
And every day becomes a little harder for Alex. Time is ticking and if it runs out, Alex won’t be returning to the world of the living. It all boils down to Cole’s final words to Jessica: What are you willing to do to save him?
The answer to keeping Alex lies in Jessica returning to the place he saved her from."

I really thought that we were going to lose one of the main characters at the end of the book. I was just so hysterical. Usually I would fling my book at the wall but I was reading my Kindle and if I threw that at the wall...let's just say my parents would not be the happiest parents in the world.

I really thought I would end up giving this book a four because the ending would end up being a flop. Thank god it wasn't! I think I would have died if it was. This book was very bittersweet.

Jessica had to go visit her mom who after seeing her scars still didn't believe her about the whole angels deal, and then she actually somewhat got along with her after that got out. I was bawling my eyes out when Alex's time was up. I wanted to cry so badly, and I rarely cry when it comes to books. Keary Taylor I salute you!

Then when Jessica switched places with Alex I was just shocked. Like I expected it to happen but I didn't know that it would happen like that. This book just had o many ups and downs I just didn't know what was going to happen, what to feel when reading certain parts. It was just so emotional!

I just really love this series. I just really want copies of the books. . Hopefully I get it soon! *fingers crossed* but I do have to stay within budget range. *sigh* Either way, all of you people need to go read this book. It's not an option. If you read this your life will not be the same. Go READ IT AND ENJOY! =)

Review: Forsaken by Keary Taylor

Forsaken (Fall of Angels, #2)Author: Keary Taylor
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Omigod! Omigod! Soooooo good! I really think that if the next book is like the first two then this will be the first series ever to get all 5 stars since Twilight. Twilight has been the only series that all the books have gotten 5 stars. If this ends up being the next one, then Keary Taylor I will probably have to stalk you for the rest of my life, read all your books, own them all, then try to know the most about your life then even you do. *Sigh* I think I'm already a stalker. I'm sorry Keary Taylor, but I am a worshiper now.

Here's the synopsis:
"It’s been four months since Alex gave everything to save Jessica. Life should be perfect; she has Alex, she’s been freed of the nightmares, and most of all- she’s alive. But some things have changed, some things haven’t. That’s the problem. Alex still hasn’t asked “the question”. Jessica can’t see the reason why and it’s tearing her apart. He’s keeping something from her.
Alex isn’t the only one who has changed though. Something is different about Jessica but she doesn’t understand what’s happened. She just knows something’s wrong, that she feels different than she used to, on a skin deep level. And it may keep her and Alex apart. Forever.
But while Alex and Jessica struggle to stay together, Cole’s not about to be forgotten. There are a few things he didn’t tell Jessica, about his past and her future. There are reasons why he came after her, reasons that are tied to his history that is darker than she could have ever realized."

This book was amazing. Throughout this whole book I was totally confused. Not the bad kind of confused! I was trying to figure out whose side to take when it came to the whole "Alex should propose thing." At one point I wanted Alex and Jessica to be together, but at the same time I totally saw Alex's point about not wanting to leave her a widow so young. Alex I think I like you better then Taylor Lautner.....yeah, I know shocker. I love Taylor Lautner with my heart and soul, but you? I fuckin want to....AGH! I just want you to be real! You are my new Taylor Lautner. I was so happy at the end of the book like YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Then oh my god Sal! I am so sorry you had to go through that. Cole is such a complete idiot. He's hot I must say, but he's an idiot. Why would you try to hurt such an innocent person? Because you think that she may be onto you? Well screw you! I bet that people would think she was crazy anyway. I loved Sal. She is such a pure soul.

Then Amber? OMG, she totally reminds me of...well, me. Except for the part about the letting her boyfriend beat her up. If a boy beats on you once, then you just run and never look, but don't forget to give him a piece of your mind. I thought that Rodd would end up with Emily but I guess not. Rodd and Amber are still a pretty cute couple. It is cool how Jessica thinks that Rodd and Alex could be brothers if not for the skin color, but now then are going to be brothers! Brother-in-laws but that "in-laws" part doesn't really make  a difference. I bet they already think of themselves as each others brothers. I LOVE THIS BOOK/SERIES! GO READ IT!

Review: Gabriel's Rapture by Sylvain Reynard

Gabriel's Rapture (Gabriel's Inferno, #2)
Author: Sylvain Reynard

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Here's the synopsis:

"Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student, Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex. But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante's fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever? In Gabriel's Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel's Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader's mind, body, and soul, forever."

Now unlike Gabriel's Rapture I was totally just in giving this a 3 star rating. I rated this on the same level I rate all my other books. I must say that this book was really good, but once again TOO LONG! I know it's only 386 pages and I have read books way longer but the plot was stretched too long. The book is amazing but it contained too much detail. The whole book could have been finished a whole lot faster if it weren't for all that detail, but honestly it was a lot of fun reading this book.

I love these characters. Gabriel's such a sweetheart and I love Julia's innocence. The couple is something you wouldn't expect but its just so right. I literally wanted to kick Gabriel's in the you-know-what for leaving Julia. I literally wanted to cry for Julia's pain. I was shaking uncontrollably with anger and sadness at Gabriel leaving Julia. The author wrote such amazing, strong characters. I feel like I know them personally. I love it when a author manages to connect a reader with the characters in their books. I feel that, that is the true meaning of writing and being a good author.

I love how Gabriel's family is so protective of Julia. They treat her like her own. I found it hard to believe in the first book how in the first book Gabriel had never met one of his sister's best friend. He only met her once and that was in a drunk and drug induced stupor.

This is really an amazing book. The only problem is that there is way to much detail and that makes the book appear to be too long when it is actually a decent size. I really did wish that there would be a sequel to this book, but it wouldn't make any sense to have a sequel. Maybe Ms. Sylvain Reynard could write a novella about Gabriel and Julia's future. Maybe with some kids????? Just a suggestion.
